Change Congress

This movement, led by Creative Commons founder Lawrence Lessig, aims to do away with corporate influence over Congressional spending.  According to Lessig, this same corporate influence has been a consistent barrier to freedom of information and the preservation of the human record through their practice of extending copyrights beyond what was intended by the Founders of the U. S. Constitution.

Creative Commons

A nonprofit organization through which creators may license their work in ways that protect those rights they wish to preserve while granting those freedoms they choose to offer.  Founded by Lawrence Lessig, Creative Commons licenses are now offered by several major Web content providers, including Flickr and Google Knol.
